2 or 3 hero Support skill amount??

Postby Sillvestra » Mon Mar 13, 2017 8:51 am

I am currently working on increasing my 6 hero energetic teams from 2x 100% and 1x 50% to the full monty of 4x 100% now I have the needed blueprints.

This leaves me with 2 heroes not in any team that I'd like to run in skill gear without breaking anything.

I know 6 support is a good amount for a team of 6 with gear below 5% break chance so my question is this - If they each have 3 support, will this be sufficient to protect each other from breakages?

Also, with the suspected 3rd hero possibly being released soon, would 6 support over the team of 3 (2 support each) be sufficient?

I've been running a 2 woman team for a few months now with no breaks with Support 6. All items below 5% break chance bar 2 which are at 8.6%.
Honestly though use the Shop Heroes Break % Calculator and test it out yourself for piece of mind.

Support works for everyone in party, not just "others" in party. In other words, it does not matter who in the party has how much support, but rather how much support the group as a whole has.

Meaning 6 support will have the HIGHEST chance of breaking something in a group of 6 (assuming all items are the same chance to break). In a group of 2 heroes with all 5% break chance items and 3 support you have about the same chance (actually slightly less) of breaking something as a group of 6 heroes with all 5% break chance items and 6 support. (3-4 support for a group of 3). But do be aware in a group of 6 you are more likely to have other skills that affect break chance (fastidious, supplier, resourceful), so if you want to be extra careful just add another support. 4/5 support for a team of 2/3 respectively should be fairly safe. 6 support is rather overkill for a small group like that.

My extra 2 have been running 3 Support and I have not broken anything in the several months I've been at it. I know if I send one out solo they can break with only 1 Support, all things said and done, it depends on how many breakable pieces you have. I have 12 breakable on this 3 Support team, of that, there is 1 piece at 3.5%, 4 others between 2 and 3%, 1 between 1 and 2%, the last 6 are all under 1%.

Most people I talk to have 3-4 Support on the spare 2, but they run almost fully unbreakable gear.

It's really more of a what are you willing to risk.

Thanks for your help everyone. As both are sword weilders, a pair of Balmungs should be enough to keep them from breaking stuff :D
